The Pokémon world was always full of myths and legends. Every Pokémon is a little mystery itself.
But since I started to play the Pokémon games and watch the TV-series there where always some questions for which I never found an answer...
It's all about the money, money...
Imagine... you are a young child who wants to be the best Pokémon trainer in the world and you are now on your Pokémon journey through the gorgeous regions of the Pokémon world. You are catching one Pokémon after the other... but wait, who is financiating your trip?
I mean, seriously, you can't only live by the love of your Pokémon. Anyway you have to sleep, eat and buy other things for you and your lovelies...where does the money come from?
games: Okay, here it is clear at first view. You are fighting against other trainers and get money for it.
But who gave the money to the trainers??? The government? Or do they have to save some money before they start and when they are losing to often... they have to go home? I mean, if you lose a fight you will also lose money, that's a point supporting this theory. But it leads to the conclusion that if you are not talented as trainer or don't have rich parents you have to quit your travel at some point...
anime: Here the money management is a mystery for me too. There are always some normal working people like building workers, kindergarden teacher, scientists... they will get their money probably by the governement. But what about all the "unemployed" trainers walking around? Ash nevers gets any money from other trainers. Okay, they are mainly doing camping in the nature or can sleep and eat in Pokémon Centers... but if all the trainers uses the free board and lodging service of the Center... how do they financiate themselfes????
I know, it's only a fiction world, but I prefer it, if even these worlds have a nearly logical system
cruel Pokémon
As I remember the Pokémon world was always considered as harmonic and peacefull. Okay, there are some bad minded people like Team Rocket or some greedy scientists, but all in all Pokémon and humans are living together in peace. But wait...I found something strange.

It's one of the Pokédex entries of Frillish. As I was reading it, a question came to my mind: "Who is the foe?"
Are Pokémon eating each other?
It was never said how Pokémon nourish themself in the nature. Are they all vegetarians? I can't believe that...
Or are humans foes as well?
There are some other Pokémon with questionable abilities too, like the energy sucking Litwick or the mummy-making Cofagrigus...
So living with Pokémon seems sometimes not that harmless as thought^^°
Animals
The thougt about the nutrition leads me to another question... Are there any normal animal (like cats, birds, cows) in the Pokémon world as well?

I mean, Pikachu was always considerd as "mouse" Pokémon. But how can the people in the Pokémon world know that it is similar to a mouse if they don't know the animal? But I never saw any other animal in the game or series. |
And if there are no other animals...what are the humans eating...?
There are a lot more theories about some dissonant facts in the world of Pokémon, but I just want to advise you to some main things I was thinking about for a long time.
